We are looking for an organized, detailed, compassionate, and highly flexible person in this full-time very public facing position coordinates Community Engagement opportunities, volunteers, and in-kind development needs. Key characteristics of this person include an eagerness to accomplish goals, a passion for our mission, self-confidence, loves networking, presenting and is someone who is energized by working with people of all ages. Occasional nights and weekends may be necessary to attend community events. This position reports to the Community Engagement Senior Manager and may supervise volunteers and interns.

You’ll Get To:
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Strengthen on-going and build new relationships with partners as assigned.
- Present the organization and programs to community business and organizations through speaking engagements and roundtables. Be a spokesperson and liaison for FPWM.
- Support Community Engagement events
VOLUNTEER COORDINATION
- Responds to Volunteer Inquiries via email, website and phone.
- Leads and facilitates Monthly Volunteer Orientation as well as ongoing training of FPWM volunteers
- Evaluates needs for volunteer engagement and expanding volunteer opportunities, and is responsible for the recruitment, retention, and recognition of FPWM volunteers.
- Responsible for all administrative work that is required for coordination of the volunteer program.
- Direct the coordination of off-site projects done by community groups and youth.
- Update and manage volunteer program materials (policies and procedures, applications, volunteer agreements, orientation handbooks.)
- Responsible for collecting and tracking all data related to Family Promise Volunteer Programming.
IN-KIND DEVELOPMENT
- Engage with donors and stakeholders in various community locations to coordinate in-kind giving
- Manages, stewards, and is responsible for the growth of partnerships for in-kind donations.
- Serves as the lead liaison to our Family Resource Center within Buck Creek Community Church for all in-kind donations.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrate ability to people and project management.
- 2 years of volunteer coordination.
- Thorough understanding of non-profit development
- Understand the nuance of building bridges and relationships in the community for FPWM.
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team. Must be able to work well with colleagues, board members and volunteers.
- Strong communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Must possess a positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable with public speaking engagements
- Be familiar with and comfortable working in a faith-based environment with congregations and clergy on a regular basis
- Must be committed to and supportive of our organizational mission and of faith-based initiatives and programming.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Gmail/Google Docs, and other common computer skills/software/programs.
