Community Banker (Teller)- La Sierra

Provident Bank is a community bank that has been a part of the Inland Empire since 1956. With 13 retail banking centers, our goal is to serve each customer as if they are a member of our own family... the Provident Family. We are looking for individuals with the same philosophy.

We have current openings for Community Bankers (Tellers) in Riverside, Temecula, Corona, Hemet, Redlands, and Rancho Mirage. These are prime-time positions, generally working on-site between 35-38 hours per week.

The Community Banker is responsible for providing superior customer service at the Retail Banking Center, receiving and processing funds as required, balancing out all daily transactions, and successfully cross-selling services and products of the Bank.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible for designated duties, which may include processing banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, issuing cashiers checks and money orders, and processing loan payments.
• Exhibiting professional and effective communication in all customer interactions, including the need to explain various decisions made on transactions.
• Adhering to approved cash drawer limits as outlined in policy, and balancing the cash drawer on a daily basis or as required.
• Actively generating new business relationships with current and new customers.

Required Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Previous banking experience a plus.
