Job Summary

Provide communications and event management support to a program and/or unit. This position will interact on a regular basis with: unit staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: students. This position may supervise: assigned program staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Maintain unit website and the development of newsletters, annual reports and other related communications.
Job Duty 2 -
Facilitate workshops on a broad range of topics related to written, verbal and visual communications appropriate for business settings.
Job Duty 3 -
Provide event management for unit/dept events including budget development, planning and logistics.
Job Duty 4 -
Coach students or faculty in communications to improve their skills when writing consulting reports and giving presentations to corporations.
Job Duty 5 -
Develop systematic approach to determine program outcomes and measure effectiveness.
Job Duty 6 -
Investigate and propose continuous program enhancements.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience with facilitation and program development; demonstrated ability to enhance student performance and general management experience

Proposed Salary

Salary Offer: $80,000 Depending on experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills; detail and deadline-oriented with superior organizational skills; professional level writing and editing skills required; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; excellent ability to manage time. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.
