Responsibilities:
- Operate the hospital's telecommunications switchboard system, handling incoming and outgoing calls promptly and professionally,
- Greet callers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing a positive first impression of the hospital,
- Direct calls to the appropriate departments, clinics, or individuals, ensuring accurate and efficient call routing,
- Respond to inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff, providing information about hospital services, visiting hours, and general inquiries,
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of hospital staff, departments, and extensions, ensuring accurate and timely information,
- Assist in emergency situations by promptly connecting calls to the appropriate emergency response teams,
- Handle internal paging requests for hospital staff, physicians, and other personnel as required,
- Monitor and respond to alarms and emergency codes, following established protocols and procedures,
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to coordinate communication during critical situations or emergencies,
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information,
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, updating call logs, and generating reports as needed,
