The Salvation Army Midland Division Headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking fora Communications Manager! This is a full-time position with starting salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 per year.This position offersgenerous time off which includes 14 days paid holidays, sick time, personal days, and a floating holiday PLUS vacation.Full-Timeemployees are eligible to participate in Group Voluntary Life (based on age and smoking status).Company funded pension after 1 year of employment, optional 403b, and additional benefits can be purchased.
Job Objective
The Communications Manager supports and leads divisional communications. This position manages the annual communication calendar, manages assigned external and internal communications projects, and collaborates with digital marketing. This position is to advance and support the Mission of The Salvation Army.
Essential Functions

1. Serve as a key member of the division communications team in the implementation of an integrated communications and public relations plan for The Salvation Army St. Louis Region and for the Midland Division.
2. Oversee message development and execution to ensure The Salvation Army's mission, vision, and goals are effectively communicated to the target audiences through social and traditional media channels.
3. Identify and engage with appropriate community and industry partners to build positive relationships on behalf of The Salvation Army.
4. Proactivelyand strategically identify, evaluate, and pursue executive engagement opportunities such as panels, events and speaking engagements that drive organizational strategy, increase brand awareness, and positively position The Salvation Army as a local leader.
5. Ensure all and communications articulate proper content and image of The Salvation Army across all mediums.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field with 5-7 years in communications and/or media relations.Five-plus years of supervisory experience and an advanced degree preferred.
2. Superior written, and verbal communication skills required.
3. Experience in crisis management preferred.
4. Strong ability to analyze data and create goals for departmental success.
5. Strong ability to work within teams to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
6. Have a valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Requirement check.
7. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
