- Lead interviews and story drafting for university news updates on topics such as welcoming new leadership team members, launches of new academic programs, and profiles of innovative examples of faculty scholarship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and contribute to the development of communication materials.
- Conduct research into university-specific and industry-wide trends to inform development of communications materials.
- Copyedit drafted communications deliverables.
- Other responsibilities, as needed.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, higher education leadership, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated interest in higher education administration, operations, or strategy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to synthesize key takeaways for executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with an ability to work independently to carry a project from idea to deliverable.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
