SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director, manages communication for the agency, including social media, newsletter and other correspondence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. All persons in this position must be capable of performing these functions, in adherence with all CLA policies and procedures.
In collaboration with the Executive Director, increase CLA?s online presence by ensuring social media, the agency website and other correspondence is regular, positive, and dynamic.
Update social media sources at least weekly to include specific CLA events, posts of interest in the intellectual disability community, and other ideas that are relevant to our mission and stakeholders. Increase social media reach.
Develop a blog for the CLA website and facilitate articles for submission on a regular basis.
Develop and distribute and electronic agency newsletter monthly, and the family newsletter quarterly, reaching out to various staff for material and developing articles and new content.
Be present at CLA functions or locations as necessary to obtain material for social media posts and other communications.
Create an organized library of photos and other media to be used in communications.
Develop dynamic communication tools for the agency such as Power Points, signage, etc.
