GovCIO is currently hiring a Communications and Tools Analyst to support our client at the Department of Veterans Affairs OIT (Office of Information Technology) Health Portfolio, Scheduling Product Line. This position will be a fully remote position and hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5:00 PM ET.

The Ideal candidate will be responsible for managing SharePoint and team channels, conducting, and tracking data calls, managing calendars, and creating compelling PowerPoint presentations. Manage SharePoint, and team Channels and facilitate meetings.
- Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring content is organized and easily accessible.
- Manage and maintain Teams channels.
- Utilize Atlassian tools especially Jira
- Advanced understanding of Jira workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, dashboards etc. and/or the ability to learn quickly.
Oversees and ensures daily administrative operations.
- Gather information for data calls and diligently follow up to ensure timely submission of required data and contract deliverables.
- Ability to learn quickly and master new tools -Jira, Teams and associated apps. Prepares confidential reports for senior staff.
Communications and Calendar Management
- Develop, review, and edit presentations and documentation; independently research and analyze associated issues and/or compile materials needed for presentation and/or decision-making purposes.
- Brief leaders on deadlines and the status of pending issues.
- Calander management: Organizes ad hoc meetings appointed by the leaders on a broad range of issues, creates and maintains key personnel lists.
- Investigates issues and problems; draft and prepares responses to urgent requests. Ability to independently prioritize, plan and coordinate meetings and events.
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related fields with at least 5 years' experience. An additional 8-10 years of relevant may be substituted for education.
- Highly Proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint administration and content management.
- Ability to learn and master new tools (e.g. Jira, Teams and associated apps)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong facilitation skills of virtual meetings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in:
- Jira administration
- SharePoint
- Microsoft applications - PowerPoint, Excel and Teams Administration
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust Clearance.
