The primary function of the Communications and Referrals Coordinator is to provide stellar customer service and serve as primary liaison between all our contracted facilities, their staff members, as well as GuideStar Eldercare clinicians and leadership.
Success in this role requires excellent customer service skills. The ability to accurately manage a complex workload at a fast pace with strict attention to detail is critical.
Individual must be able to manage demanding workload with accuracy. Position requires excellent customer service skills with patients, their families, other staff, physicians, vendors, and the public.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Serves external and internal customers by providing accurate, timely and complete information to assess an issue and assist in solving the problem.
- Communicates directly with facilities related to scheduling/clinician issues.
- Communicates directly with clinicians related to scheduling/facility issues.
- Communicates directly with scheduling teammates on all issues.
- Reports trend analysis to leadership for potential corrective action.
- Maintains client/patient records and assists team members with data entry on an ad hoc basis.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Possess excellent customer service, communication (both written and oral) and time management skills with proven experience in a customer service role.
- Extremely detailed oriented and enjoy working in a deadline driven environment.
- Dynamic individual with exceptional multi-tasking capabilities.
- Organized, resourceful, and flexible with work priorities.
- Be able to work independently and with minimal direction.
- Proven excellent customer service, communication (both written and oral) and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of MS Office Suite.
- Comfortable and effectively able to communicate professionally with all individuals at all levels.
- Able to pass pre-employment background testing, including motor vehicle record review and drug screening.
