Society Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter II to join our team. This position works to develop and maintain a profitable book of business consisting of primarily small-business accounts by acquiring, evaluating, and analyzing information relative to risks to making selections and pricing. This book will include in part underwriting: bars, restaurants, breweries/wineries, food manufacturing, grocery, auto repair, lessors risk, retail, wholesale, and more!
About the Role
- Acquires, evaluates and analyzes information relative to risk to make selection and pricing decisions.
- Evaluates renewal and new business accounts for acceptability.
- Will have sole responsibility for agencies as assigned according to territory needs.
- Builds and maintains positive professional relationships with agents and Regional Sales Managers.
- Provides training and mentorship to team members.
