We are currently looking for a Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer to join our Commercial Loans team.
Job Summary
As a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Loan Officer, you will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, originating, and managing Commercial Real Estate Loans. You will work closely with borrowers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to assess loan applications, analyze creditworthiness, and structure loan packages that align with our institution's lending policies and objectives. Your expertise in Commercial Real Estate finance, business development, market analysis, and credit risk assessment will be pivotal in driving business growth and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio.
What you can expect to work on
- Origination: Successfully source and originate new Commercial Real Estate Loan opportunities by actively prospecting and cultivating relationships with potential borrowers and
- developers.
- Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses and credit assessments of loan applications to ensure creditworthiness and adherence to lending policies and risk tolerance.
- Loan Structuring: Develop tailored loan structures that meet the financing needs of borrowers while effectively mitigating risks for the bank.
- Portfolio Management: Manage an assigned loan portfolio, including monitoring borrower compliance, assessing property performance, and taking proactive measures to mitigate credit risks.
What you offer us

- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with borrowers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and referral sources to generate repeat business and new loan opportunities.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate finance, including various loan structures, underwriting principles, markets, and credit risk assessment techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CCIM) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate lending, with a focus on originating and managing Commercial Real Estate Loans.
- Proven track record of successfully originating and closing Commercial Real Estate Loans, preferably within a National origination footprint.

Work Environment
This position will be a hybrid-based schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work. This position will be based out of our I-435 office.
