Commercial Property Accountant - Direct Hire Opportunity

We are seeking a Property Accountant in the Houston area!

Essential Job Functions:

The Property Accountant is responsible for handling bank reconciliations, utility downloads and payments and other functions in Yardi. The Property Accountant is also responsible for ensuring the financial statements, including the books and records, are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP. Maintain and implement accounting procedures and systems.

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Yardi - NO EXCEPTIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 2+ years of progressive accounting management experience in the areas of general accounting, financial statement preparation
• Must have experience in Commercial Real Estate
• Read and understand lease language and abstracts.
• Must be a team player
• Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload and successfully manage all financial activities
• To be successful in this role, the person needs to be detail-oriented, reliable, accountable, a good communicator, and emotionally intelligent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
