HybridThe Business AviationCommercial Manager is responsible for supporting the business management functions for our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) Business Aviation Program Management Office (PMO). The role reports to the Director of Business Aviation Programs and will be responsible for leading a team of 4-6 people. The Commercial Manager has responsibility for Strategic and Financial Planning (S&FP) by forecasting budget needs over a five (5) year period.This role provides a unique opportunity for leadership exposure and to engage across several organizations and functions within CAS to support Business Aviation. Primary Responsibilities:
You will deliver resilient and consistent leadership, common direction, and the strategy and team objectives to enable effective team delivery. This very likely includes motivating, coaching, and mentoring the team.
You will perform revenue and P&L monitoring, analysis and reporting. Ensure the preparation of comprehensive and reliable forecasts, monitor AOP and business cases and interpret/investigate reasons for deviation; advise PMOs on established techniques to stay on plan.
You will actively participate in proposal development efforts and assists in identifying potential follow-on/add-on work with current customers as well as maintaining rapport with technical customers. Support the Sales Lead in Commercial modeling for all proposals.
You will prepare business plans in consultation with managers as well as analyze, coordinate and follow through on business related issues.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards in sales delivery, customer service and revenue recognition. Ensure resolution of customer complaints when needed.
You will collaborate closely with the Business Aviation Program Managers and VSLs, the Commercial Managers for each CAS Product Portfolios, the Sales, Finance and Contract Managers to develop a consistent future commercial strategy for the business and provide comprehensive commercial support to the Program Management Teams.
You will have accountability for workforce planning, recruiting high caliber colleagues, managing their induction and onboarding to ensure they are effective and engaged with the business
You will promote employee recognition and build departmental culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Experience within the aviation industry in Business / Commercial / Solutions analysis.
Business acumen coupled with the capability of financial statements and P&L management.
Professional communication skills with demonstrated experience in presenting to senior executives and influencing, negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a prerequisite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint skills.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
