The Position starts with YOU Making the Magic Happen
Project Manager has an extremely important role. We say the Project Manager makes the “Magic Happen” for our clients. You collaborate with an Estimator – Team Leader that scopes, writes the estimate, and settles the assignment. Then hands over an “Approved Scope of Work” that you will implement. You get to collaborate directly with the client putting their building back together.
Overview of Position:
1. Selections: You will collaborate with the client on selections, oversee budgets, giving the client budgets for certain materials, or materials selections by grade.
2. Confirmation of Scope of Work: When collaborating with the client site you will need to make sure that the “Scope of Work (Written by Estimator) is complete and correct.
3. Production Options: Our projects are produced using subcontractors, our Inhouse teams or a combination of both. Option gives you control to make sure the client gets the correct source of labor for the task(s).
4. Develop Schedule / Timeline of Project: Planning out the assignment and making sure that the many factors that can affect the timeline are properly considered.
5. Financial Responsibilities: Achieving budgets, negotiated with vendors to get best pricing, and cut unnecessary costs.
6. Safety and Building Codes: Conducted safety meetings with employees, contractors, and subcontractors while also ensuring adherence to government regulations. Inspect and review projects to check compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
7. Customer Service – Communication – Documentation Skills: We expect our Project Managers to love serving Customers! Everything we do centers around Customer Service, affective communication, documenting what we do and when we do it. Making sure our customers know what is happening, what is next, and what we need from them.
Personality Traits and Skills Needed
Communications skills where you communicate with people, the other party knows what to expect and what is required from them and you.
Solving problems, ability to analysis situations and quantify what is needed. One cannot be afraid to make decisions, you will not always be correct, however learn from it. Correct the problem and do not make the same mistake again.
History of Quality Decision Making
Goal – Oriented, Leadership with Integrity
Skilled in Documentation of work produced using Written, Verbal and Photographs methods.
