About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Commercial Insurance Service Representative who will serve as an in house Insurance Agent responsible for sales and service of property/casualty insurance products. This role manages day to day insurance responsibilities of insurance administrative assistant/agent such as handling all types of insurance transactions and inquiries in person, by phone, by e-mail or in the mail.
What you'll do:
- Maintain insurance company relationships to maximize volume and positive loss ratios. Adjust front line underwriting under the direction of VP to maintain insurance company profit while maximizing agency commissions.
- Promote, sell and service property, casualty, life disability, annuities, and single premium life insurance products to customers.
- Reconcile monthly agency commission and cancellation lists. Resolve client conflicts with insurance company personnel.
- Receives and records all customer information necessary to prepare application for, but not limited to, homeowners, personal liability, automobile, inland marine, homeowners, personal liability, automobile, inland marine, motor home or other personal vehicles and business owners policies. Enters all such information on agency and company computer terminals.
- Works effectively with branch/department managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
- Receives, records, and follows up on customer claim statements.
- Prepares vehicle rating information, researches insurers policy and premium data, and furnishes the customer with policy and premium quotations using both manual and automated systems.
- Prepares agency billings when carrier does not bill direct. Reviews policy expiration notices and follows up on non-renewed policies. Contacts customer on Notices of Cancellation and makes maximum effort to insure policies remain in-force with the Agency.
What You'll Bring: You'll like this position if you are...
- One to three years of Commercial Lines Insurance experience and sales experience.
- Must have experience and/or knowledge of AMS360 and ACS2000.
- Must have an active and up-to-date Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
