Commercial Insurance Marketing Manager
As Commercial Insurance Marketing Manager at Ottawa Kent, you will play a key role working with producers and underwriters. Creating marketing plans, submissions, and overseeing all aspects of the process to place coverage for a client.

To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be:
- Licensed in Property and Casualty insurance
- Experienced in Commercial Insurance Marketing or account management (minimum of 1 year required)
- Self-starter who can prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once
- Thorough and organized, knowing what needs to be done at each step of the process
- Great with people and building strong working relationships
- Clear communicator over the phone and email who can quickly explain a situation, negotiate differences, and ask the right questions
- Comfortable with computers and software - knowing Applied Epic is a big plus, but not required
As a Commercial Insurance Marketing Manager at Ottawa Kent, you’ll be expected to:
- Create and send complete submissions to insurance carriers and underwriters, in both email and online rating systems
- Know the insurance marketplace inside and out – carrier appetites, what coverages a business needs, what information is needed to gather proposals
- Review commercial accounts and make recommendations for improvement
- Be the point of contact for underwriters, producers, and account managers when placing coverage for a client
- Follow day-to-day marketing workflows – Create ACORD apps, Write new business submissions, Save documentation in Applied Epic, Prepare proposals for producers, Bind coverage with carriers, Transition accounts to Account Managers

Where is the location and what are the work hours?
- Training will be in Jenison, Michigan with the possibility to work from any Ottawa Kent office location (Jenison, Holland, Sparta or Byron Center).
- Full time; 40 hours a week
