Position Overview
The Commercial Coordinator will assist the Underwriting Team and the Escrow Team in overseeing and managing the administrative aspects of the firm’s commercial and national single and multi-site real estate transactions. This position provides support by gathering information, coordinating and assembling documents and assisting with commercial real estate closings while providing customers with timely answers to issues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate closing documents with Underwriting Team, Escrow Team and client
- Create and coordinate transaction checklists for title clearance
- Receipt and merge original document closing packages
- Communicate with underwriting staff and local offices to coordinate preparation for closing
- Follow up with clients, local offices and outside vendors to confirm and clarify and/or request any information needed for closing
- Confirm property taxes, transfer taxes, transfer forms and clearance requirements for each transaction
- Request and obtain invoices and wire instructions for payments to be made throughout the closing process
- Follow-up on recorded documents and final policies
- Send out closing documents, recorded documents and final policies to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two (2) plus years Real Estate industry experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to successfully meet client needs and deadlines
- Detail oriented with the proven ability to produce quality, error-free work
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent business writing skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
