Commercial Collections Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Collection Agent to join our team. The Agent will be responsible for contacting businesses to collect outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a background in business-to-business collections.

Responsibilities
- Contact individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding debt collection
- Provide excellent customer service while resolving payment issues
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis to identify discrepancies
- Use telemarketing techniques to effectively communicate with debtors
- Maintain a professional phone etiquette during all interactions

Skills
- Proficient in account reconciliation and analysis
- Excellent math skills for accurate calculations
- Experience in telemarketing or phone-based customer service roles
- Ability to negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in modern research and skip tracing methods

Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Commercial Collections Agent or 10+ years experience in collections
