Form of workPosition Goals:
Provide business unit oversight of compliance with primary federal and state regulations and statutes for the Commercial line of business. Work closely with Corporate Risk and Compliance as part of the Commercial line of business to ensure compliance of all banking related rules and regulations. Work directly with the necessary parties in the collection and reporting of data for departmental exams and audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure commercial loan policies and procedures comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor key risk indicators for the Commercial line of business (LOB).
- Assist in other areas including product and system testing and development.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in key laws and regulations for the Commercial line of business.
- Monitor and analyze developing trends and changes in applicable banking laws and regulations. Assist management with the implementation of regulatory changes.
- Assist in training Commercial line of business administrative and client-facing bankers on compliance-related matters.
- Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting the position and scope of responsibility and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation.
- Prepare annual Commercial LOB Enterprise Risk Management Assessment, along with periodic updates.
- Recommend corrective action for all Commercial LOB audit, compliance and loan review findings.
- Evaluate risk in new and existing Credit and Treasury Management products and recommend process changes.
- Serve as Departmental Records Manager for the Commercial LOB.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor’s degree OR Associate Degree/two (2) years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience list below).
Experience - A minimum of five (5) years of banking, commercial loan or related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Compliance, Risk Management, or Loan Review practices.
