Staff Management is looking for someone to join the team as a Collections Specialist in Rosemont, IL! The Collections Specialist position is part of an enthusiastic and motivated team of collections professionals that helps us service and retain customers. Using our customer service-oriented approach, you will be working with our commercial, residential, transfer station, and roll-off customers who are past due on their accounts.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for successful progress made towards reducing past due balances, reducing bad debt and decreasing DSO in assigned aging portfolio
- Contact customers to set up effective and immediate payment arrangements that resolve the customer's delinquency
- Find mutually beneficial payment arrangements that will allow us to retain the customer
- Establish customer relationships that help enable effective collection strategies
- Respond to customers regarding questions on service, billing, and taking payments as well as fielding questions beyond scope of collections and billing to the best of your ability
- Responsible for inbound calls for Residential customers through Robocaller program as well as assigned department phone coverage
Associate Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of B2B collections, some B2C collections are a plus
- Waste management and/or construction collections experience beneficial
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Excellent time-management, written and oral skills
- Must be located within a commutable area from Rosemont, IL
- Background Check

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
