Collections Professional

One of the fastest growing prominent Commercial Law Office Firms in the United States, based in Itasca IL, has a position open for an experienced Collection Professional. Qualified candidates should have a minimum 1 year experience as a collector. The candidate will negotiate payments with businesses who have outstanding delinquent accounts with our clients. Additional responsibilities include making outbound telephone calls, examining debtor’s financial situation, reviewing trade documents and contracts, resolving disputes, and working to establish a resolution. This is an onsite position at our company headquarters in Itasca, IL.

Duties:

• Resolve disputes, create urgency, and negotiate the best possible payment or settlement if the business cannot pay their balance in full.
• The negotiation process which involves reviewing the account information in the collection software system and asking questions of the debtors in order to better understand perceived obstacles to payment.
• Maintain a positive, problem-solving approach and positive relationships within a team environment.
  

The candidate must be highly motivated, competitive, focused, commission driven, along with being energetic, assertive and charismatic.

• Good problem solving skills.
• Good written, verbal, active listening and phone communication skills.
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to maintain composure with all levels of debtors and remain professional at all times.
• Proficient personal computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm No nights, weekends, or holidays will be worked.
