Collections Associate

Business Unit/Department: Accounting

Location: Lawrence, PA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and distribute customer statements of account
• Contact delinquent customers via phone and email and maintain consistent follow up
• Understand, investigate and resolve collection issues
• Maintain a complete and accurate record of all collection efforts including any corrective arrangements and add notes to the customer’s account in IFS
• Develop collection strategies to reduce days sales outstanding, prevent bad debt and improve collection recoveries
• Perform other various accounting related duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Is experienced in collections work; more than two years’ experience preferred
• Has strong written and oral communication skills
• Has excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Understands accounts receivable accounting processes
• Is able to work closely with others in the accounting department and other ECI departments to resolve AR collection issues
