We are looking for a Collateral Analyst for our Northfield, IL office. The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:
- Member of the Greystone Monticello Working Capital Platform
- Facilitate the daily settlement of borrower’s cash receipts used to reduce borrowers outstanding loan balances and participations
- Facilitate borrower requests for working capital advances; including review of supporting detail.
- Interface with borrowers/clients on advance requests, questions, training, etc.
- Complete month end month end borrowing base reconciliations and updates to collateral.
- Review collateral field exams
- Interface with various banking partners both for Greystone Monticello and borrowers.
- Assist Asset Management Group and Borrower representatives with online access to deposit accounts at designated financial institution.
- Support the Asset Management Group and the Finance Department in the ongoing review and monitoring of both Working Capital and Mortgage Loans
- Maintain direct daily interface with borrowers, financing counterparties, and firm stakeholders
- Facilitate the company’s growth by identifying and developing process efficiency improvements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop messages for all audiences, including borrowers, financing counterparties, and other external parties.
- Travel as required
- Work in the office as required by office policy
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years’ related work experience
- Familiarity with Stucky or another collateral management tools preferred
- Familiarity with account opening and cash management preferred
- Finance, credit, legal, real estate and/or business background and/or familiarity with asset-based lending, preferred
- Established organizational skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects
- Extensive computer skills including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, prior treasury management experience, a plus
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, advanced financial analytical proficiency along with the ability to “see the big picture”
