The Opportunity
As a Collateral Treasury Analyst within Group Treasury, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and optimization of our collateral management processes. You will be responsible for capturing business requirements, operational processes, and contributing to the overall enhancement of our collateral management business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform monthly collateral balance reconciliations and investigate variances
- Review and track investment management authorities (IMAs) requirements
- Provide oversight over non-Bermuda Divisional Collateral
- Support strategic transactions and initiatives for QBE (e.g. LPTs)
- Manage various collateral contracts
- Liaise with investment, risk, compliance, accounting, treasury, and audit teams
- Assist with instructing and approving wire transfers and creating bank letters
- Assist with counterparty relationships
- Report and analyze collateral activity for various audiences
- Participate in collateral project work
- Analyze existing collateral management operations and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and compliance
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes that impact collateral management for compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in establishing and implementing new collateral processes
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced qualifications or certifications in business analysis are a plus)
Required Experience
- A minimum of 1-3 years of business analysis experience within an investment bank or financial services environment

Preferred Experience
• Experience in a business treasury function
• Collateral management experience
• Insurance background
Preferred Knowledge
• Working knowledge of treasury department functions and best practices
• Applied working knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic knowledge of bank products and services
