CEO, Hannah Ulbrich, takes her years of experience as a barista and cafe manager into the roasting room creating a company with four Denver area cafes and a national wholesale presence. Owning Copper Door Coffee Roasters gives Hannah the chance to blend creativity and science to bring our customers fresh roasted coffee.
About the Position
The Production Roaster works as part of our roastery team to consistently and accurately roast, package, ship and deliver coffee in accordance with Copper Door Coffee Roasters (CDCR) systems. This hands-on position requires the ability to discern origin variants and how to roast for nuance. The Production Roaster acts as a team leader and as the face of the team to the public. This role also works closely with the entire staff in communicating roasted coffee offerings. This position, when done well, naturally increases quality, efficiency, and customer service.
About You
- 2 years’ experience of increasingly responsible in coffee and roasting.
- Considerable knowledge of specialty coffee including cupping and scoring.
- Knowledge with sample roasting and profiling.
- Must exhibit efficient time management practices.
- Must communicate effectively in a clear and consistent manner, both orally and in writing, with a strong understanding of business communication.
- Proficiency in GSuite is required.
- Experience in inventory management systems
Complexities and Conditions of Employment:
This position maintains and handles confidential information of its clients and the utmost care must be taken to assure documents and information are secure. Physical requirements will require sitting and/or standing, keyboarding, being in front of a roaster for long periods, lifting over 40#, driving a motor vehicle to our café locations, and handwriting.
