We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Coding Assistant to join our Coding Services team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a CPC-A certification looking to gain hands-on experience in a medical coding environment.
This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will be considered.
The Medical Coding Assistant will:
- Work with medical coders and management to reconcile all electronic professional charges for assigned departments through various schedules and reports.
- Complete monthly examination of all missing charges reports or other validation of charges as assigned.
- Review missed charges and work with coding staff and management to resolve billing issues while ensuring all electronic medical record (EMR) charges have been accounted for.
- Perform basic coding review and basic data entry into the appropriate application(s).
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
