Come join Main Line Health as a Coding Specialist II, Professional (Pro Fee) where you will demonstrate the ability to continually learn coding guidelines and utilize performance feedback to enhance coding skills. You will use your knowledge and skills to assign IC-10-CM and CPT-4 coding according to the Official Guidelines for coding and reporting, adhere to HIM policies, and maintain coding accuracies. This is a remote posiition with some training on-site.

Position: Coding Specialist II, Pro Fee
Shift: Full-time Day shift; Sunday through Thursday option or Tuesday through Saturday (Remote)
Experience:
1. Minimum of 1 year experience ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 required.
2. Ability to code from documentation originating from multiple specialties or practices is required.
3. Experience working in EPIC or other electronic health record management software is preferred.
4. Proficiency demonstrated by a score of at least 80% or greater on the MLHS coding assessment.
Education:
1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Associate's Degree in a healthcare business related field strongly preferred.
3. Completion of basic coding courses from an AHIMA or AAPC approved program required.
Licensures/Certifications:
Certified Coding Credential from AAPC such as CPC, COC (formerly known as CPC-H)
OR
AHIMA Coding credential such as CCS, CCA or CCS-P required.
