Charge Posting Associate
Fellow Health Partners is seeking a full-time representative with all levels of experience in Medical Coding. This position is based out of our Great River, NY office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Charge Posting
1. Resolving issues in all vendor work queues/buckets/assignees per client. This would include all new bills and any issues that come back to charge entry from
A/R in the denial process.
2. Resolving scrubber denials that cannot be resolved by Global.
3. Resolving rejection denials that cannot be resolved by Global.
4. Resolving On Shore review issues.
5. Checking for task messages or emails from client and either addressing them or reassigning them appropriately.
6. Perform coding functions as determined by client.
7. Any issue that has 3 touches without resolution must be brought to the attention of their direct manager.
8. Attend associated client meetings to discuss coding items.
9. Assure that reconciliation process is being completed.
10. Identify and report to manager any issues/inefficiencies with Global functions.
11. Interface with all third-party vendors (i.e. outside coders) involved with charge entry.
- Administration duties (adhering to all relevant protocols and company policies and procedures, interdepartmental communications)
- Professional Development duties (staying current with all relevant knowledge understanding and skills required for the job, attending skill building workshops, doing own performance review)
Skills / Qualifications
- Must be an effective and disciplined self-manager

- Demonstrated ability to understand and implement verbal and written direction as directed
- Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 or higher
- Required manual dexterity for using a calculator, computer keyboard and capturing information in writing
Education/Experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) essential with 3-5+ years of experience
