Responsibilities: A Coder is responsible for reviewing medical record documentation and charges for completeness, accuracy and compliance; assign ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes to all appropriate patient types; utilizing the 3M coding and reimbursement systems.
Qualifications: An Associates Degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited college or university, a RHIT or CPC registry is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Two years coding experience in Health Information or similar healthcare setting and CCS, CCS-P, CPC are preferred.
