- High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate.
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
- Athletic experience at the high school, college, organized recreation council program, and/or professional level in the sport or related coaching experience.
- Current teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to speak and write effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
- Hold certification in Heart Saver CPR w/AED.
- Completion of "Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries” course.
- Concussion in Sports certificate issued by National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
- Heat Illness Prevention certificate issued by National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
