Atlas Staffing is hiring individuals for a CNC Router Table position for a military-based production and manufacturing facility! Objective:
In this position you will be working with the CNC mill and CNC Router Table to create various parts in a fast-paced shop environment. You will be working on multiple projects Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications and determine tooling, programming and setup requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC Router. Load tools in tool holders, set up part fixtures and load raw material stock onto machine.
- Load part programs and nest parts on sheet stock to maximize material utilization.
- Operate CNC Router check and adjust machine settings, verify first part quality and monitor part quality throughout the production run.
- Develop specialized work holding and tooling solutions.
- Focus on maximizing CNC machine utilization and continue to look for and implement new methods to increase productivity and efficiency of the operation.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Preferred Qualifications (Not required but preferred):
- Understanding of routing and tooling procedures.
- Knowledge of CNC Routing capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
- Understanding of Geographic Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Five plus years as a CNC Machine operator including the ability to perform your own set ups.
- Experienced in implementing LEAN manufacturing practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or graduate from certified technical school.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with regards to working on machine tools, equipment, etc.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Experience working in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 2:30pm (OT on Friday if needed)
Wage: $21-25/hour
