Cnc Programmer/Machinist

Southern Spring and Stamping is an established air- conditioned manufacturing company in Venice and is taking applications for full time employment. SSS manufactures springs, metal stampings, sheet metal products as well as some machined products. Current openings are for an experienced CNC machinist and programmer. The ideal candidate would be a senior machinist who can problem solve and assist operators. Hours are Monday-Friday 7-3:30 with available overtime.

Summary: CNC Milling Programming and Setup

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup Newer Okuma CNC mills with Pallet changer
• Program the CNC with Solidworks / Camworks
• Edit Code or program as necessary
• Be able to read drawings and inspect parts
• Work with operators and inspectors and troubleshoot

Skills:

1. Must have previous programming and CNC setup experience

2. Attention to detail

3. Must be able to multi task

4. Knowledge of fixturing and workholding

5. 4 axis programming

6. Hold tight machine tolerances

Education/Experience:

5 years and must have programming and setup experience, Swiss machining knowledge a plus
