CNC Programmer - 2nd Shift

CLASSIFICATION: CNC Programmer Operator GRADE LEVEL: 1

BASIC FUNCTION:

Operates and programs CNC machines to perform a variety of milling operations.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Operates and sets up both Haas and Fadal CNC milling machines.

· MUST program CNC mills to perform various milling operations (set-up and layout) to print.

· Measures and qualifies all components made on CNC machines, utilizing precision measuring tools (micrometers, depth/height gauges, etc.).

· Assists in general upkeep of tool room and its equipment.

· Ability to hold close tolerances per drawing specs.

· Follows safety rules and keeps work areas clean and orderly.

· Displays a positive attitude to peers and leadership.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Performs daily general clean up within designated work areas.

· Meets quality expectations.

· Meets productivity expectations.

· Requires high degree of direction/supervision in the performance of job duties.

· Adheres to Plant Safety Rules and procedures, Attendance Policy, and Work Rules.

· Participates and attends safety team meetings as required.

· Submits Safety Observations as required.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Frequent mental and visual attention required. The flow of work is constant. Talking and hearing are associated with the performance of the functions of the job on a frequent basis.

· Considerable physical effort required for the frequent lifting of sheet metal, tooling, etc., weighing up to 40 lbs. Considerable pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, squatting, bending, and walking required. There is constant use of both arms and hands required of this position.
