Job Title: CNC Programmer
Reports To: Manufacturing Dept. Manager

Summary
This position is solely responsible for design and program of the manufacturing process to support feasibility, cost, and production goals. The primary focus will be to utilize CNC software such as Mastercam and Solidworks, to create the highest quality and most efficient machine process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to Company safety rules/policies.
- Read blueprints to obtain product specifications and tooling instructions
- (dimensions/tolerances, fixtures, feed rates, cutting speed, tools required, etc.)
- Write programs for and occasionally operate the CNC machinery (i.e., lathe, mill, and grinder in accordance with training and safety procedures for maximum machine efficiency) utilizing Mastercam and Solidworks software.
- Assist manufacturing estimator with any questions regarding estimates/quotes for new work.
- Purchase and prepare tooling and requirement equipment for each job released to manufacturing.
- Evaluate lessons learned and budgets with project managers for continual improvement.
- Participate and complete all mandatory overtime including Saturday and Sunday, as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred or 4+ years prior experience in a CNC programming position.
- Experience with the capabilities/limitations of all conventional/CNC machines.
- Must be able to interpret engineering/tool drawings.
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
- Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Project).
- Must be able to prioritize work daily.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines.
- Must be highly motivated and self-starter and be comfortable operating independently as well as within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
