CNC MACHINIST PROGRAMMER

Position:

Imperial Machine & Tool Co. (“Imperial) is currently looking for talented and experienced CNC Machinist Programmers who can program, set up and run close tolerance work in various types of metal while operating in a busy, high-precision environment. Candidates should have prior experience Programming a CNC Milling Machine, be familiar with 3, 4 & 5 axis work and have the ability to take a print and be able to creatively and accurately develop their own program and fixtures with part holding and then successfully make the parts according to the print’s specifications.

These positions are Full Time with a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime during the week and weekend as required. Imperial prefers professional and career-minded candidates that are willing to learn and advance within the company.

Job Requirements (CNC Machinist Programmer):

• Familiarly with all-axis programming (3rd, 4th, 5th) of a CNC Milling Machine

• Complete knowledge and experience operating a CNC Milling Machine

• Prior experience working with complex parts and designs

• Ability to read and understand blueprints

• Ability to create fixtures, part-holding, and machining processes from customer-supplied blueprints and models to program machine & make parts according to specification

• Ability to create in-process inspection to ensure quality

• Understanding of basic inspection hand tools

• Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures & practices

• Flexibility in working overtime as required

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• High school diploma along with additional education & training

• Capable of working in a fast pace environment while maintaining production accuracy

• Work independently while maintaining a clean and safe work area

• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

• Understanding of Mastercam & Virtual Gibbs software and CNC Codes
