Cnc Machinist, Mills - 2Nd Shift; 4 Day Workweek

Job Description
Pay Range: $25-$38 per hour.
2ndShift: Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with a 30 minute meal break at 5:30. Time and a half for hours over 10 in a day, and of course 40 in a week. $2 an hour shift differential.
Pay Range: $25-$38 per hour. Time and a half for hours over 8 in a day
Position Summary
Performs setup on and operates a variety of CNC machinery including multi axis mills with sub spindles and up to 5 axis horizontal mills with pallet lines. Applies inspection techniques to monitor the CNC process. Collaborates with colleagues to maximize productivity in the precision manufacturing of the highest qualityvalves actuators for aerospace and power generation customers.
Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex blue prints, shop travelers, and operation sketches for machined and/or fabricated parts.
• Inspect parts to specifications and document results.
• Installing fixtures and setting work offsets.
• Using an offline tool pre-setter, prepare and set tools needed for machining operations.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose deviations and adjust offsets to maintain quality product based on the analysis.
• Report machinery, tooling or quality issues to supervisor.
• Run multiple machine centers as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
• Experience in set-up and operation of multi axis CNC horizontal mills, 4 axis minimum;pallet line experience a plus.
• High School Graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus.
• Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD T.
• Ability to perform accurate manual inspections of parts produced.
• Solid understanding of G-code. Ability to program machines a plus.
• Experience with low volume, high mix production a plus.
