Cnc Machinist

CES/AWS has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist in the Kansas City, MO, area.

Pays: $20.00 - $25.00/h (DOE)
Start: Immediately
Temp to Hire position
Shift: 3rd shift with overtime available

Job Summary:
Responsible for operating CNC machines and performing tool and die maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in Key Creator for 3D Machining and CNC programming
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
• Minimum 3 years of automotive experience in building dies
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
• Own tools for setup (e.g., Dial indicator, edge finder)
• PPE Required

Responsibilities:

• Produce components to specified tolerances on designs and drawings
• Maintain and record setup and run times accurately
• Physically inspect completed products for dimensional correctness
• Keep CNC records up to date
• Read engineering designs and drawings
• Lubricate machines per preventive maintenance schedules
• Record daily job numbers and hours accurately
• Communicate and work with fellow employees professionally
• Immediately report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment, or tools.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

• Work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, and procedures
• Use or wear equipment, protective devices, or clothing as required
• Follow all LOTO procedures
• Comply with environmental requirements, including recycling programs.
