Cnc Machinist - 2Nd Shift

Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team for the 2nd Shift at our facility in Jackson, MS, 39206. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong manual machining skills and experience in blueprint reading and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications and tolerances
• Set up and operate CNC machines for production runs
• Perform manual machining tasks as needed
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or defects
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications
• Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with machine setups for production runs
• Strong manual machining skills
• Ability to operate and maintain CNC machines
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• High school diploma or equivalent
