Primary responsibility will be operation of CNC Mills including but not limited to setup, pickup of details, programming and when necessary editing programs at the control or through the software, setting up tooling and verifying accuracy and completion of the finished details while working with the CNC Leader, Programmers, Die Makers, and Die repair. This individual will have the ability to read and understand part prints, color codes, CAD data and part tolerances.

EDUCATION
High school education. Additional courses in drafting, blueprint reading and CAD/CAM software applications is a plus.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a CNC Machinist is required. Working knowledge of OKK mills and MasterCam programming software is a plus.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Limited outside contact. Must be able to interface with all levels internally.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and perform all the general duties of a CNC Machinist.

Regularly works with confidential data of major importance related to methods and efficiency which if disclosed, would significantly reduce the company's competitive advantage.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Good working conditions. Exposure to noise, dust, heat, etc. Some element present which makes conditions less desirable than usually found in the office.

Works independently with minimum supervision.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assist in or perform the maintenance of CNC equipment as necessary.
- Recommend the purchase of perishable tools and equipment to CNC Leader when needed.
- Monitor and run CNC Mills, sometimes multiple at the same time.
- Perform setup workpiece, load program and inspect size and fit of components without assistance, including but not limited to indicating, edge finding, building tools and setting cutter offsets.
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
- Determines sequence of operations in a program.
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones to increase efficiency.
- Analyzes and selects speeds and feeds for programs.
- Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
- Participates in continuous improvement MTPS activities.
- Actively uses checking fixtures in the proper manner.
- Participates in overall machine effectiveness efforts and waste reduction.
- Works in the most efficient manner to meet and exceed all established corporate goals.
- Assists in analyzing and resolving work problems.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Consistently adhere to, and support, policies and procedures, including ISO, and safety regulations; assist in investigating and documenting potential infractions.
- Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
- Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
