A family owned, custom metal fabrication company in O'Fallon, Missouri is looking for an extremely motivated experienced WATERJET OPERATOR who can assist and support our company's growth initiatives. Responsibilities
- Responsible for water jet machine operations associated with production of units.
- Program and operate a Flow Waterjet with customer's drawings and specifications.
- Start and stop the machine, load/feed the machine, and monitor machines operation.
- Label and deburr material as it is completed.
- Meet or exceed customer's specifications as outlined on the job traveler.
- Set up fixturing and precision measuring equipment to produce an acceptable first piece
- Prepare tooling, fixturing, gauges, materials, and paperwork.
- Perform sharpening tasks, offsets and adjustments based on tool wear within current program.
- Measure and check parts.
- Keep waste low, minimize scrap, use labor efficiently, and account for all parts on jobs
- Program machine, fixturing, material, and paperwork preparation such as sharpening, locating, verifying, programming, editing, etc.
- Set-up and proof CNC machines for runs to achieve a first piece quality product.
- Set-Up Times and Run-Times: monitor for accuracy and provide necessary changes to Department Supervisor.
- Monitor condition of job specific tooling or holding fixtures, make authorized changes as needed/directed.
