RESPONSIBILITIES:
This person is responsible for operating the identified machine(s) with maximum efficiency. This will entail reviewing the Production Part Machine schedule, ensuring the proper fixture, proper tooling / proper material / proper set up items are available, when required, and are used with maximum efficiency.
DUTIES:
· Operated and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts.
· Interpreted technical blueprints and designs to understand the specifications and requirements of a part.
· Conducted regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.
· Adjusted machine settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
· Kept a detailed record of processes, tool usage, and production output.
· Review the Production Part Machine line up (schedule) on a daily basis.
· Review the Machine Operator Instructions / Work zone to understand what is to be completed on each part.
· Operate the machine(s) to achieve maximum throughput and utilization. Inform management of anticipated and actual completion times.
· Inform management of anticipated conflicts for future operations.
· Perform inspection on the machine to ensure parts machined match current data and meet tolerance requirements.
· Perform Inspection off the machine to verify the part thickness
· Clean and wrap the machined part to prepare for shipment.
· Update reasons for idle time on a daily basis. Participate in activity to improve throughput or utilization.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
CLIMATE:
Work is coordinated through the applicable supervisor and communicated through the Production Part Machine line up. Will work to ensure proper tooling / proper material / proper set up items are available, when required, and are used with maximum efficiency (may entail teamwork). The Machine Operator must be conscientious and persistent about working to meet or beat department utilization and throughput goals.

Personality traits to include goal-oriented, persistence, motivated, positive attitude and attention to detail.
Good computer & Mathematical skills
2 – 5 years’ experience as a production parts machinist or 1 – 3 years’ experience as a Machine Operator / programmer.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or a related field
- Apprenticeship programs that combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction can be beneficial.
