Cna / Nurse Apprentice - Perioperative Care, Surgery Center - Boise (Flex)

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse Apprentice to join our Perioperative Care - Surgery Center! (FLEX FTE)

Unit/Position Summary:

This CNA in this position will function in the Preoperative and Postoperative areas at the Boise Surgery Center. The Boise Surgery center serves day surgery patients. We provide care to adult and pediatric patients in a variety of surgical service lines that include:

• Adult OB/GYN
• Adult Ear, Nose, Throat
• Adult Plastics
• Adult urology
• Pediatric General
• Pediatric Urology
• Pediatric ENT

Schedule/hours:

• This is a 0.1 FLEX FTE expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per two week pay period (Up to 16 hours)
• The start and end times for this position will vary between 0700/1100 - 1500/1900
• Shifts will be variable days of the week Monday - Friday (No weekends) 

• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Documents information in patient record.
• Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
• Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
• Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Education: No Education Required
• Experience: 0 years' experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
