The St. Luke's Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) experience is designed to provide a supportive, positive, acute care experience for students to apply critical thinking and nursing knowledge while functioning in the role of a nurse apprentice/intern. The purpose is to build relationships, gain knowledge and exposure to the benefits of a nursing career at St. Luke's Health System.
Locations Available:
Elmore, McCall, and Fruitland
Time Commitment:
Full time: May 2024 - July 2024 (Program starts in May for 10-15 weeks dependent on school curriculum)
Flex schedule: August 2024 – May 2025 (One shift a month)
Program requirements:
- Completed junior year of a four-year accredited baccalaureate program in nursing OR completed the 1st year of an accredited ADN Program.
- Letter from the Idaho State Board of Nursing verifying eligibility.
- Current AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers certificate.
- 2 year commitment

Once you have completed your first year as a SNAP, your next opportunity would have you apply and move to our STAR Residency Program! Join all our new graduate RNs in our year-long STAR Residency Program to help you transition from a student nurse to successfully taking a full patient load.
