Clinical Technicians - CNA at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all clinical techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Qualifications for a Clinical Technicians / CNA / Certified Nurse Assistant:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required
- 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Emergency Services is a designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, regional Pediatric Trauma Center, Eye Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Cardiac Center for the state of Maryland. The Adult Emergency Department provides 24/7 comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients as well as trauma patients 15 years and older. The department consist of 76 treatment beds and handles more than 60,000 visits annually.
