SalaryWe are looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide assistance in daily living services to a male client who lives in Laurel in their home in accordance with an established care plan by the state. Light housekeeping, laundry, go to appointments, and heat up meal as well.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care services in client resident
- Perform domestic and household tasks
- Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital
- Administer simple prescribed medications if needed
- Assist with client’s personal care activities when needed
- Monitor patient closely (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on his condition
- Maintain patient care records and document provided services
- Assist patient with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
- Instruct and counsel patient and family on diet and exercise
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Skills
- Proven working experience as CNA
- Ability to monitor vital signs if needed
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
- Proficiency in English
- Nursing and health care administration skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Current CNA/HHA/CPR certificate
- CPR/First Aid training
- Valid driver’s license or ID
- High school degree or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
