SalaryLooking for positive, motivated individual to help me with my daily in home care and join team Borsheim Home Health team. I am 44yr old quadriplegic who lives at home in Windsor with my dog Benny. A CNA license is not required to work but a positive attitude, being physically strong, reliable and flexible is. Having experience in caring, being a CNA, home care and fundraising a definite plus. Living near and close to my home in Windsor also a bonus.
I have team of around 6-8 individuals who work together to help me live my life to the fullest. Specialized skills/duties include hoyer lift for transfers, catheter care, bowel program are all performed and all easily taught and learnt. Schedule and position has worked great for college students especially nursing students. I have had 5 Employees work for me and graduate nursing school and pass NCLEX exam and move onto being RNs.
Pay is $20-$30 per hour depending on shifts worked and duties performed.
Position is Part Time but possibility of near full time hours and position with experience
Shifts are 7 days a week 9am-2:30/3pm morning shifts
And 6pm-10:30/11pm supper/bed shifts
On Wednesday and Friday 12pm-5:30/6pm gym shifts
Team picks shifts that work for their schedule and fill my schedule for care
Along with providing my essential care and duties there are also other duties
-taking me to work at Colorado Eagles hockey games
-going out to eat, explore and enjoy finer things in life
-concerts, weddings, parties, tattoos and shenanigans
-helping plan and prepare for my annual golf tournament fundraiser
I use a Medicaid program called CDASS to help run, employ, and pay employees
Must be able to pass criminal background check and legally able to work in USA
This opportunity will provide great experience in nursing and care for others who need help and assistance with their basic needs. The job is fun, laid back, builds karma and personal as many CNAS have become like family and friends who I still have relationships with me far after their employment.
