Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to nurses and other medical staff in delivering quality patient care. Your role will involve assisting with various medical procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist nurses and medical staff with patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
- Take and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage and airway management
- Provide basic physical examinations under the supervision of a nurse or physician
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times, such as hospice care
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Cerner experience preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
