As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your collaborative team effort is essential in delivering direct patient care to residents while upholding their dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. Respect for residents' rights and individuality is paramount, and your communication with residents, co-workers, supervisors, and visitors should always be characterized by courtesy and respect. Adherence to facility safety, infection prevention, and control procedures is a must, as well as following the care plan/service guidelines during care provision.

In this capacity, you'll diligently read and adhere to the care plan/service plan for each assigned resident before providing care. Efficiently organize and prioritize your workload to ensure timely completion of all duties. Use mechanical lifts for transfers as directed by the care plan/service plan, the person in charge, or when the resident's condition requires it. Support residents in maintaining their nutritional intake by serving meals, offering encouragement, and assisting with eating. Employ a resident-centered active listening approach in communication, providing verbal explanations before delivering care. Recognize that behaviors are a form of communication and refrain from taking them personally. Promptly report any changes in a resident's health, cognition, or behavior to the person in charge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training course and a valid Oregon CNA license.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is essential for effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
• A must-have includes the ability to follow directions, collaborate effectively in a team, and deliver excellent customer service to residents.
