Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as IV infusion and spinal tap assistance
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient information and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
Skills:
- Experience in senior care or nursing home settings is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is required
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Proficiency in patient service skills, including effective communication and active listening
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects or assist with patient transfers
