As part of the Coated Metal HR team, the Recruiter will be primarily responsible for evaluating the hiring needs with the Generalist and hiring managers, implementing recruitment strategies and creative staffing solutions to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for our operational needs. This person will liaison with our engaged staffing agencies to support our employment demands within our recruiting budget. You will be a passionate, driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can support the rapid growth of our Production team and beyond.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Continually improve on and execute our recruiting strategy and recruiting Action Plan using creative methods and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Responsible for full cycle recruitment for all departments with a primary focus on production and manufacturing utilizing HR recruiting resources and/or outside recruiters as appropriate.
- Work with hiring managers to assess their staffing needs and objectives by clarifying required job competencies and skills. Ensure job descriptions are consistent with positions.
- Source applicants through diversified methods i.e., advertising posted positions on online career sites, target job/trade specific platforms, target minorities and veterans, social media, and internal referral program.
- Review resumes and qualifications to determine candidate suitability.
- Prescreen all candidates providing hiring managers with appropriate information regarding candidate qualifications and skillsets.
- Coordinate, schedule and participate in team interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Educate and assist hiring managers with proper interview techniques as well as FLSA and DOL regulations to ensure compliance. Perform trainings as necessary.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to managers on the candidates and process.
- Ensure each qualified position has a Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment completed by the appropriate Stake Holders. If not, create the position in PI and send to hiring managers.
- Work with the HR Generalist to send successfully interviewed candidates a PI Assessment for their completion to ensure they are a match for the job.
- Coordinate competitive offers based on position budget with HR Team & Hiring Manager.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with outside agencies, contractors and groups.
- Build Manufacturing/Technical School related relationships. Potential weld training program.
- Extend offers of employment through the DocuSign approval process.
- Schedule & track pre-employment screens (background and drug screens) as applicable.
- Work with HR Team to process new hire paperwork, orientation and on-boarding processes.
- Send professional rejection letters to candidates not selected preferably by way of the ATS.
- Run recruiting, headcount, and attrition reports as necessary to ensure staffing objectives are on track. Present results in meetings when necessary.
- Ensure regulatory aspects of full-cycle recruitment process is compliant with federal and state legislation.

- WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of full cycle recruiting and related HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current knowledge and solid understanding of best practices in the HR disciplines.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- High level of service-orientation and responsiveness is essential.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and uphold high standards of confidentiality.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and legal guidance.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS.
